HSRP Interface Tracking | Why Track Interfaces in HSRP?

In this video I show one example of why you might want to track interfaces when using HSRP.

In the topology shown in this video, both routers are running HSRP on each of their interfaces, however you could also have a situation (quite common actually) where you have a router running OSPF or EIGRP on one side and HSRP on the other; that would also be a valid reason to track interfaces if you didn’t have a full mesh of connections.
